Installation

The Content & Media Bundle 11.0 is installed automatically with an OXID eShop 7.5 default installation:

  • Media Library and WYSIWYG Editor are included in all editions

  • Visual CMS only in the Professional and Enterprise Editions.

The three modules form a dependency chain and must be activated in the following order:

  1. Navigate in the OXID eShop administration area to Extensions ‣ Modules.

  2. Activate the modules in this order:

    1. Media Library: base for media management

    2. Summernote WYSIWYG Editor: requires Media Library

    3. Visual CMS (PE/EE only): requires WYSIWYG Editor and Media Library

Important

The shop enforces this order through the module dependencies defined in the modules. Activating a module before its dependencies are active will be rejected by the system.

Set up a fallback image

No fallback image is shipped by default. To make sure content still renders cleanly when media is missing or was deleted later, a fallback image must be configured after activation.

Configure a Default Media ID (Fallback) in the Media Library module settings. When the file behind a media ID cannot be found, the shop then displays this fallback image instead of raising an error over the missing media.
